THE COMPANY

Applied PhytoGenetics, Inc. (APGEN) is a new company in the promising field of phytoremediation. Phytoremediation is the use of plants, trees and grasses to remove hazardous materials from the environment. APGEN is pursuing an exciting combination of short-term technologies now being implemented, while developing mid- to longer-term second generation technologies with substantial market potential. We believe this combination is unique among companies of APGEN’s size and age.

Specifically, APGEN has developed and already using in the field technologies for remediation of organic contaminants, using specially selected naturally-occurring plant species, and is developing genetically modified plants to remediate mercury, arsenic and other elemental contaminants.

APGEN’s founders and management include recognized leaders in the field of phytoremediation, and bring to the company many years of experience in execution, sales, marketing and management of major remediation projects
